What is the best way to book?

The easiest way to book is online through our website. You can select your vehicle class, extras, insurance, arrival and departure locations etc. If you have any more questions, please feel free to email or call us.

Can you deliver to the airport?

For a small $40 fee, we can deliver your car to the airport for you and pick it up again at the end of your stay. You will be responsible for the airport parking fee when you arrive and we will pay it when we pick it up after your departure.

Do you rent beach gear?

Yes, we have different choices of beach gear packs, all the way from just 2 chairs and an umbrella up to 4 chairs, umbrella, cooler, snorkel gear and boogie boards. Please contact us if you have questions.

When is payment due?

We have recently changed our policy on partial pre-payments due to several unfortunate cases of customers leaving without paying their bills, so we now no longer offer post-pay rentals. All payments are due at time of booking. Extension payments will be processed at the time of requesting the extension. 

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel before 72 hours before your rental is due to start, you will receive full refund. If you cancel within this time, there will be a $150 penalty reduced from your reservation refund.

Can your cars take surf boards?

Most of the cars can fit short boards. The mini vans can fit longboards and windsurf gear inside. If you would like to request roof racks or soft racks, we will do our best to accommodate this free of charge. Please contact us prior to your rental to organize!

Do I need a 4x4 on Maui?

Maui has great infrastructure and is almost always accessible by a 4x2 vehicle. It is not legal to drive on Maui beaches and there are several off-road trails which should not be accessed by 4x4 or 4x2 vehicles. If you are staying in a hotel or Airbnb, you will almost always be fine with a 4x2

Can I drive the Road to Hana in your cars?

Yes you can and we would very much recommend that you do it! Please make sure to drive slowly and take provisions for your journey. It’s a long road but the beauty of going to Hana is more than half in the journey to Hana, so take your time, respect the locals and enjoy all the wonderful stops along the way!

Do you rent car seats?

We do have car seats all the way from infant up to booster seats for bigger kids. Please make sure to specify seat size required when you book. By law, we are not allowed to install the car seats for you. Please install your own seat on arrival, it will be inside the car for you.

Do I need a 4x4 to go to Hana?

No you do not, you will be perfectly fine with a 4x2 vehicle.  Please just take care when pulling off the road to see the various beautiful sights. There can be some slippery patches if it has been raining. Please also take care on the sharp curves.

Do I need to purchase insurance?

Most US customers can use their own personal car insurance to cover our rental cars. If you are unsure, please contact your insurance carrier. If you are an international traveller, then it is required to have some kind of travel insurance or credit card insurance which covers our vehicle. This is usually called CDW insurance. If you do not have any of these types of coverage, you can purchase CDW insurance through us and this is compulsory if you do not have another type of insurance to cover our vehicle.

What if I get a flat tire?

The renter is responsible for tire damage during their rental period. If the tire is punctured and repairable by a licensed tire shop, then we encourage you to do this. If there is sidewall damage, the tire will need to be replaced. Many modern vehicles are now sold without spare tires due to government environmental schemes. Over 50% of our vehicles do not have spare tires, so it is advisable to add "Roadside Assistance" which would cover towing of the vehicle and replacing or repairing the tire. If you do not purchase roadside assistance, then you will be responsible for these fees.

Do you rent surf boards?

We currently only rent soft top surf boards, you can add one to your rental at checkout. If you are in need of something more high-performance, we can point you in the right direction!

I'm arriving on a Cruise Ship, can I book a vehicle for 2 nights and park overnight?

You are welcome to leave your car at our parking lot overnight, it is located at 553 Haleakala Way. However, if you would like a more convenient option, the Maui Seaside Hotel offers paid parking overnight in a secure parking lot, only about 5 minutes walk from the cruise port.
